My good friend Michael's older brother Shelton passed away in a tragic car accident earlier this year. He was way too young and left behind a wife who was expecting their first child. It's been really hard watching Michael and my best friend, Ashley (who has dated Michael for 9 years now) go through such a difficult loss.
But, "every cloud has a silver lining" or something like that, right?
Well, Shelton's baby boy came this November and I finally got to meet him this Thanksgiving with the Smiths. I don't even like kids and this is one cute baby.
It's bittersweet that Shelton will never get to meet his son and vice versa, but a part of him will always be here for his family and friends in Parker.
